| Well, I was sitting in class the other day listening to another dry boring lecture that doesn't provide nothing to my higher education. As I was just about to nod off I heard my professor say , "education influences beliefs and that is why educated people tend to be more liberal and vote for Democrats. Well, needless to say I was all of a sudden awake. I said to my professor, I know you were a child of the 70's but you really need to lay off what ever it is you are smoking these days." That little story is a good lead in to why people vote for Democrats. There is actually three groups of people who make up the Democratic party, the academic elites, the entitled, and the ideological infants. It is true that academic elites tend to vote Democrat by an overwhelming majority. Academic elites don't make up a very large group of people so claiming that this is why the Democratic party is a national party is disingenuous. Academic elites vote Democrat for a simple reason, because they think they are better than you. The whole platform of the Democratic party id give us your money through taxes and we will give it back to you through government programs. This is because they don't believe that you are responsible enough to take care of yourself. This by any other name would be referred to as Communism. The idea that people are inherently stupid and the government is their only chance to make it. This is academic elitism at it's finest, and yes this is the group that teaches your children. This is probably why most of your children come back from college with a piercing in every orifice of their bodies with pacifist ideas and tie die t shirts. The second group of people who vote Democrat is the entitled. These are the people who vote in to office the academic elites so that they can take care of them. These are the people who believe they are entitled to welfare, medicade, medicare, food stamps, etc. These are the people who buy their groceries on food stamps but drive around in new cadillacs. All while the average taxpayers drives around in his old Ford, paying taxes so that that person can reap the befits of those food stamps. They don't vote what they believe, they vote what they want. These are the most selfish people in our society. What is best for the country be damned, what is best for my bottom line. These social programs are certainly necessary but those who abuse them are the leaches that are sucking the life blood out of our economies. It is the Democratic party that allows it and that is why they vote that way. Those things you think you are entitled to are really privileges that come from the hard work of others. The third group that votes Democrat is the idealogs. These people believe deeply in their own ideology. This is the Cindy Sheehan crowd. These people are normally American haters. These people live in their own fantasy land. They have no answers to problems all they know is they don't like Republicans. With that as their only concern they protest against any policy of the Republican party. These people are usually mental midgets who have no clue what it takes to secure a country. These are the people you will find protesting all over the country. Not getting anything done, holding up their signs saying make love, not war, but frankly they are not capable of either. American haters vote Democrat because Democrats seem to fit the bill. All you have to do is listen to John Kerry talk about our troops during Vietnam or Ted Kennedy's rants of the floor of the Senate to understand why the get this voting block. If it is true that you are judged by the company you keep, then that doesn't speak to well of the Democratic party. How about you? Who do you vote for and why? So say they vote for the man, not the party. They don't understand that the man represents the party and when you vote for a Democrat you vote for the ideal that have talked about. When you vote Democrat, you cast a vote for higher taxes, abortion, and pacifism. When all you really thought you were going to get is more food stamps. Think about it. thehowboutktid@hotmail.com |
